2008 New Jersey FIRST Robotics Competition
 The New Jersey Regional is a FIRST Robotics
Regional Competition that will be held at the Sovereign Bank
Arena in Trenton, NJ, February 28, 2008 - March 1, 2008. The event is a world-class celebration of high school students, engineers, and mentors working smart in science and technology!
The 2008 competition will include approximately 63 FIRST
Robotics teams from New Jersey, New York City, Pennsylvania,
and as far away as Florida and Canada!

Food Policy:
As requested by the Sovereign Bank Arena management, no food or drink is allowed in the arena. Water coolers will be set up around the arena filled with water for people to drink. Teams/Spectators may also choose to eat in their cars in the parking lot. As always, concession stands will be open and boxed lunches are available for order ahead of time. Boxed Lunches will help will save money and offer healthier options over the concession stands.

Local Hotel Information:
Please click here for a listing of hotels in the area that may be able to accomodate your team. FIRST is no longer offering hotel reservation services for FRC Regional Events. We would like to provide FIRST team members some recommendations of the best way to place hotel reservations. Google and the Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) can be great resources. We find that hotels that are members of their local CVBs tend to be more reputable properties.
Volunteers:
We welcome your volunteer participation at the FIRST Robotics New Jersey Regional Competition. We need at least 100 individuals each day to help make this competition a great success. There are several positions, both technical and non-technical, guided to match your individual expertise, availability and interests. All interested volunteers must use VIMS (Volunteer Information and Matching System) to register with FIRST.
